Vale of York Working Retriever Club

Welcome to the Vale of York Working Retriever Club
A Club open to any variety of Retriever

Our aims are simple - we want to run the Club events for the enjoyment of its members.
Where everyone from the least to the most experienced gundog handlers can come together to promote the inherent ability of the working retriever.
Where people who are new to the sport feel they can come and participate at their own level and seek guidance should they require it.
Where competitions are held in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and fairplay is seen to be done.
Where Junior members are encouraged and events organised for training education and competition.
Where due consideration is given to health, welfare and the elimination of hereditary defects known to be associated with the retriever breeds.

Our Club is not a business and all proceeds from events are retained for the benefit of its members in aspects related to the Club

Our sincere thanks to all our sponsors for their friendship and kind donations of  venues, money, trophies plus their support and encouragement.
We can look forward to Clay shoots, Scurries Working and Cold game Tests and Training trials which will be held in some of the most beautiful countryside in North Yorkshire.
